No other controller can integrate within a larger network or contain all the software and functionality within itself to master an entire installation. The Tessera is unique in handling not only complex lighting and lighting devices of all sorts (LEDs, conventionals, etc.) but impromptu show-control, other accessories and non-lighting effects - for complete control - in an economical package.
Tessera mosaic full#
The Unison® Mosaic Tessera Controller (MTPC) is both a part of a greater sophisticated networked system and a standalone full controller in itself, in an elegantly compact local touchscreen. The piece can be found hanging in the office of the WV Tourism Office.A "tessera" is a tile in a greater mosaic but also an object of beauty itself. Jim Justice, Governor of West Virginia, even placed a little squirrel in the top right of the mosaic!Īfter the event, the mosaic had photos from all over the state of West Virginia and the launch event of WV Tourism's new brand. Slowly, as more people added their custom photos, the new brand image was released.Ī Tessera Mosaic served as a great way for WV Tourism to engage their audience in the release of their new brand. Tessera Live placed 400 photos from WV Tourism's social media contest before the event, so attendees would begin to see the picture being formed.Īttendees then used our photo booth with props to add themselves into the finished piece. Through collaboration between our company and the West Virginia Tourism Office, we developed a plan to showcase West Virginian photos from an earlier social media photo competition in addition to live photos at the brand-release event. The West Virginia Tourism Office was all set to release their new brand to the world, but they needed one final piece to bring their brand-release event together. They displayed the finished mosaic proudly in the university's student union for two weeks following the event. We applied some finishing touches, and delivered a custom art piece to the WVU Student Events Board.

In a matter of just a few hours, all 350 spots were filled with custom photos taken during the event, and the final mosaic sat showcased as the centerpiece. Most interacted on their own and used the automatic photo station, understanding that they were becoming a part of the art piece.

Our stations were placed in the middle of the event, where most of the foot traffic would cross.Īs the audience grew, folks stopped to point at the mosaic-in-progress and immediately wanted to be a part of it. Our event staff set up a photo station, print area, and created a showcase for the mosaic-in-progress. Working with local sign shops, we were able to deliver the highest quality product in the area. We created a custom 5'x8' board on laminated gatorfoam that had spots for over 350 of their attendees to add their own pictures. When the Student Events Board at West Virginia University needed a centerpiece for their year-end finale event, they chose Tessera Live to help create a live work of art that would wow their event attendees.
